Michelin (MI.xpar) is a French multinational company headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France. It is the largest tire manufacturer in the world before and larger than both Goodyear and Continental combined. Michelin is also known for its Red and Green travel guides, its roadmaps, the Michelin stars that the Red Guide awards to restaurants for their excellence, and its company mascot Bibendum, colloquially known Michelin Man. Michelin manufactures tires for space vehicles, automobiles, heavy equipment, motorcycles, and bicycles. It is traded on the Euronext as a component of the CAC-40, has a workforce of 127.000 people, and its current market cap is $24B (USD). Michelin has already recovered from the last crisis, which occurred in March 2020. As demand rebounds in the tire markets, Michelin (MI.xpar) has raised its 2021 financial targets. Michelin’s officials said they expect operating income to exceed $3.31B (USD) this year at constant exchange rates and free cash flow to reach more than €1B (EUR).
